Q. Sicinius and C. Coponius, 49 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.95 g, 3 h), military mint moving with Pompey in the East. Q•SICINIVS - III•VIR Diademed head of Apollo to right; below, star. Rev. C•COPONIVS - PR•S•C Lion's skin draped over club, the head in profile to right; to left, arrow; to right, bow. Babelon (Sicinia) 1 and (Coponia) 1. Crawford 444/1a. CRI 3. RBW 1558. Sydenham 939. A beautifully toned, perfectly centered and very well struck example. Light graffiti on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
